Set direction and describe the extension
Choose which direction to expand — left, right, up, down, or any combination. Optionally describe what should appear in the extended area. Without a prompt, the AI infers what continues from the edge. With a prompt, you can specify content the model would not infer automatically.
Review and download

Clear edge content extends more naturally
A landscape with sky visible at the top extends upward seamlessly. An image tightly cropped with no clear edge context — a face filling the frame, a product with no visible surface — is harder to extend because the AI has less information about what is outside the frame.
Moderate expansions produce the best results
Adding 20–30% to one side produces seamless results. Doubling the image size in one direction requires more generation from less context. For large aspect ratio changes, extending in two or three moderate steps produces better results than a single large expansion.
Style consistency depends on the source
The AI matches the extended content to the style, lighting, and color palette of the source. A clear, consistent source with coherent lighting produces more consistent extensions than a source with complex or mixed lighting.
